Wow. This is one of those products that I put off buying for years thinking it was a scam. No way. It really gives an amazing finish. There is only a slight shimmer so it is enough to make your face pretty and not like a disco ball. Let's be honest: after a certain age you get too old for a lot of glitz. I bought this to replace the mineral veil illuminator which has a lot of shine but lasted me about 6 years so is a good investment.

Impeccable finish, I haven't had it for a week and I realized how much I missed/needed it.

Best setting powder for dry skin. My skin has been very picky about setting powder lately. It keeps turning into dust and cake and my skin stays dry. Old powders that used to work for me lately have me rushing home to wash off my makeup. I tried it because it's water based and I've heard it's great for dry skin types. I've always loved pure minerals and knew the moisturizing powder existed. For a long time, its original loose foundation was my jam. (This powder is starting to rekindle my old love for this line)
It really sets my makeup in place and almost gives my face the look of a blur filter. It conceals imperfections and refined pores on my nose. It hasn't gotten hard anywhere on my face. I am currently using the UD Naked Liquid Foundation. All in all, you can't say that I wear foundation.
Today it withstood the crazy humidity for six hours before it started to shine a little. But it still hasn't hardened or damaged my makeup.
It's translucent and doesn't look spooky to me. In the bottle it looks yellowish but remains clear. The packaging is the normal bare mineral sieve. A bit messy and cumbersome, but it really annoys me. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Conclusion: Yes, I recommend it for dry skin types. If all those powders are drying your skin out and making you look dusty/lumpy, I would definitely try it. It is water based and very moisturizing. Also, the price is A+ compared to other HE fixing powders.

I love this mineral veil. I use it daily to define my foundation which is also BEING. Depending on my mood, weather, time of year, etc., I alternate between the ready-made pressed powder foundation and the liquid foundation for bare skin. I love it and while I'm not sure if it's really moisturizing, it's not drying either.

At the beginning of this review I will state my problems. I was having trouble with my liquid foundation clumping. I also have large orange peel pores on my cheeks. My nose is another problem. The foundation doesn't stick there or it gets clumpy, so you can see my pores there too.
This powder is great for setting foundation and I will buy it forever. I got lucky and Ulta had a 40% off coupon for me when I bought mine ($13.50). But totally worth the full price.
This powder sets your foundation without feeling clumpy or powdery. It blurs imperfections. There are no pores, I hardly get greasy, the foundation stays on my nose. I've worn makeup to work where I sweat and look gross. My face looked perfect all day.
I would highly recommend it to anyone. This is one of those questions, "why isn't this getting more praise and why didn't I buy this sooner?!?!?" products.

The more I use it, the more I like it. I apply it over a tart powder foundation and it sets without caking or looking gross. After a day of use, my skin feels comfortable and moisturized without feeling greasy, so I know this is a great setting powder, especially in winter. It has an interesting iridescent sheen that is really flattering and adds a subtle shimmer to the entire hair. It is not shiny and does not shine on the face like it looks on the bottle. It just looks healthy.
If you have dry skin I recommend this as a finishing powder.

I use it to put my IT cosmetics under the eye corrector and apply it on my nose daily. I love that it's just as moisturizing on dry skin as the other mineral veil formulas that have caused dry dandruff.

I don't know why I bought it. I think I wanted a product to set my mineral foundation. Well, it kind of works, but... I don't know...
- It doesn't feel more moisturizing with it on than without.
- Has this reddish-pink tinge that just doesn't go with my warmer olive skin tone
- Wow, it's messed up
– When applying, a lot of product is left on the waist because it flows very easily. In fact, this is unavoidable when using this product.
+ Good news: yes, it can extend the life of your foundation if you have a problem with it blending into the skin.
So if you don't mind the downsides and the price, which I think is a bit high for a few grams of strength, get one.importOrange2

I bought the hydrating mineral veil years ago and forgot about it because it was too iridescent for everyday use and didn't hold the oiliness of my skin.
but I gave it a second chance and now it's a HG for me!! I love wearing it UNDER my mineral foundation. I use a primer and then my HMV gives me a nice glossy canvas with smaller pores and my primer applies like a charm. I can't see much pink in it, but I feel like it helps balance out the yellow undertones on my super pale skin. Finally, I prefer the original veil.
I use it to set my concealer under my eyes.
It's great for smoothing out dark blush and giving it that extra kick. I just mix.

I bought this mineral veil because I was SO tired of watching my nude mineral foundation fade throughout the day and I'm telling you... it was the best decision I could have made. This stuff WORKS. Not sure about the moisturizing effect, I didn't notice any difference between dry and oily. But making sure your foundation lasts all day without the need for touch-ups? This product must be the first instinct! I only bought it about a week ago and have been using it every day since 🙂 My foundation used to wear off and I had to reapply it 2-3 times a day. It really started to get on my nerves when I realized how quickly I could go without foundation and pure minerals are pretty expensive... Well I started using this mineral veil. I've been looking in the mirror all day expecting my spots/redness/grease marks to pop open every few hours. NOT with these things! It makes my skin look matte and radiant all day long. I worked 12 straight hours today just looking at myself going to the bathroom and girls... when I got home my makeup was the same as when I left this morning, if not better ! I use the Nude Minerals matte powder foundation on a lighter side. Oh, and on the other hand, it really helps if you apply the veil first, then the foundation, and then maybe just a light coat over the foundation to finish. When I got home from work, my skin literally looked flawless, like I hadn't even worn makeup.
The shimmer on it is barely noticeable, I wouldn't worry about the little shimmers on it at all. At first I was afraid that my face would be too shiny, but I tried. It won't make you look like a disco ball. In fact, I can only see the glow when I'm in very bright light and take the time to really look closely at my skin. I'm so glad I decided to try it out. I can't imagine switching to anything else 🙂 BTW...her foundation is great too. If you haven't tried them yet, give it a try!
I read some other reviews about it and a lot of people said it had a pink tinge to it. I'm not sure if it just depends on your undertone or what, but this product doesn't make my skin turn pink. I tend to have cool undertones, so could this be the reason? I dunno, but this powder doesn't leave any color on my face, it's totally translucent to me and makes my skin glow.I hope this review was helpful 🙂 Have a nice day!
... and seriously, try these things for your own good 😉
